Here is the latest press release from the City of Rockford on storm clean-up: "ROCKFORD- As a result of the recent storm that swept through the Rockford community this past weekend, Rock River Disposal will be collecting downed tree limbs. In order for those limbs to be picked up at curbside, residents will need to bundle the limbs and secure them with string/twine in packages no longer than 3 feet in length and diameters no greater than 2 feet. You may also place the limbs in yard waste paper bags, or garbage cans designated with an X. Rock River Disposal is doing their best to accommodate residents so please maintain patience during this time. "We would also like to inform residents that there will be no change in the garbage collection schedule for the 4th of July holiday; however, the Household Hazardous Waste site at 3333 Kishwaukee Street will be closed Saturday, July 3rd and Sunday, July 4th. The site will resume its regular schedule on Saturday July 10th, from 8am to 4 pm, and on Sunday July 11th, from 12 pm to 4pm." |
