Walker Elementary School, 1520 Post Ave., is proud to announce its 100th Anniversary celebration, to be held on May 18-19, 2012. The two-day event will feature a variety of activities for current staff, students, and families of Walker, as well as for alumni, friends and neighbors.  Note this on your calendars and be sure to attend this celebration of an institution which has been an important focal point for life in the Grove for generations of residents! For more information, please visit Walker School's webpages by clicking here.
The school is also asking for your participation and assistance, through your donations of your box tops and labels for education. These are located on many of the products you buy each week from the grocery store. The General Mills company gives schools 10 cents for every box top turned in. Last year’s collection efforts helped pay for the fence you now see around the playground!
For convenience, a drop box for these donations has been placed outside the entrance of the school.  For more information on this program, please visit www.boxtops4education.com & www.labelsforeducation.com.  Thank you for your time and contributions.
