Every year, on the first Saturday of May,
interested residents throughout Churchill's Grove hold their annual
garage sales on the same day, rain or shine, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
The result is an event which attracts attendees from all over the
Rockford metro area and beyond, creating an atmosphere that is a cross
between a flea market and a neighborhood block party! Features will include a Concession Stand and a Rest Area with tables & chairs (located on Sherman St. between Camp and Harlem); there will also be Port-a-Potties available.
So, if you enjoy strolling through historic neighborhoods and rummaging through block after block of treasures, we invite you to mark your calendar and plan to join us here in the Grove in early May!
In the week prior to the Garage Sale each year, you will be able to download an Attachment at the bottom of this page with a map of the neighborhood and a list of participating homes, including highlights of some of the items they have for sale.

Do you want to participate with your own garage sale? If you are a Churchill's Grove resident and would like to participate in this year's Garage Sale, there is a Garage Sale registration fee of - $5.00, if you are a Grove member, and - $10.00, if you are not. For all members at the $25.00 membership level or above, Sale registration is free. Contact Shelley Martin (968-6389) with any membership questions. To register, complete two steps: A) please fill out the Registration Form below (a copy is also in the Spring Newsletter), and then B) pay your registration fee by either: 1) personal check (please make checks payable to Churchill's Grove, Inc.) delivered to Churchill's Grove, Inc. c/o Sally Mark 1526 Harlem Blvd Rockford, IL 61103 2) online payment (Select either "Grove member" or "Non-Grove member" and then click below on "Add to Cart"): | Upon our receipt of the registration fee, you will receive a Registration Kit which includes 8 Locator Maps (with listed sale items) and a Garage Sale Tip Sheet. Our goal is to identify every registered garage sale on the Sale Locator Map. Registration is due by the Wednesday 10 days before the date of the Sale (we cannot guarantee that registrations received after the due date will be included on the Garage Sale Locator Map).
